Summary

Sci-Fleet, Australia’s largest Toyota dealer and one of the most respected names in the automotive industry, called on Detailed’s Pre-Delivery solution to address the challenge of delivering cars to customers prior to the end of the financial year.

Detailed teamed up with Sci-Fleet to create an on-demand service; both efficient and cost-effective that addressed this challenge.

The client’s challenges

Sci-Fleet shared the challenges of other automotive groups feeling the affects of COVID-19.

This placed an added emphasis on having well-prepared, clean and tidy cars for customers who were excited to drive away in their brand new vehicle prior to 30th June. An easing of restrictions, combined with the government’s instant asset write-off program, also led to an increase in showroom traffic across the market. This ultimately meant the stock needed to look its best for prospective customers.

Sci-Fleet also didn’t have the time or the resources to train staff to complete car detailing services within such a tight timeframe.

The “Detailed Difference”

First, Detailed mapped out a tailored solution to meet Sci-Fleet’s expectations and needs.

This was done in line with the dealership’s passion to deliver customers the best possible experience. A site visit was conducted by two members of the Detailed management team and a comprehensive solution was drawn up based on a cost-per-car pricing and in line with Sci-Fleet’s requirement for the highest quality of work.

This solution ensured up to four of Detailed’s expert staff were on hand to meet the demands of the EOFY sales. Additionally, the labour which may have been otherwise associated with car cleaning at this time of year was removed from the group. All of the consumables, cleaning products, labour and quality assurance was taken care of by the Detailed team.

The results

Up to 100 cars each week in the lead up to 30th June were successfully prepared by the Detailed team.

The Pre-Delivery Solution made sure Sci-Fleet’s own staff were not needed to be called on to meet the demand, saving costs and eradicating potential disruptions to normal operations.
